Trend Watch: Leather Dresses,

Who says leather is only meant for jackets anymore? Lately, Hollywood’s elite woman have been rocking the newest trend, leather dresses.

The style is a fresh look considering it’s not your usual dress, and the stars have put some unique touches on the piece such as adding lace and/or spikes. Shenae Grimes, Ashley Greene, Rooney Mara, Fergie,Michelle Trachtenberg, Charlize Theron, and Jessica Alba are just a few ladies who have dabbled with the look.

What’s great about the look is you don’t have to wear the traditional black leather. Colored leather is also in whether it’s red or pink, giving it that extra edge.

When Nicole Ritchie stepped out in a sunshine coloured leather dress this week, she set the tone for Spring. Coloured leather dresses are here for the summer, proving once again leather really is an all-season wardrobe staple.

What was really eye catching, was how Nicole managed to work the bright yellow with her Boho look by adding a  woven belt, simple jewellery pieces and snakeprint shoes from her own house of harlow label.

A bright yellow leather dress is not an easy piece to carry off, but we think that Miss Ritchie does it beautifully, and cannot wait to see what else she will be stepping out in this spring.
