Fall Fashion 2013 Colours: What You Should And Shouldn't Wear This Autumn

Image
1. Keep: Pink What type of pink? Literally any shade you can imagine.  Topshop showcased a very light, feminine pink in their collection , while  Oscar de la Renta opted for a bubblegum hue  in-step with the season’s ‘60s theme. Regardless of shade, you can’t go wrong, so don’t be afraid to keep looking bright despite autumn’s descent into darkness and early sunsets. 2. Keep: Black The day somebody tells you black isn’t "in" for a season is the day you know you are being lied to. Like seasons before, black ups the ante in terms of formalwear, with designers like  Viktor & Rolf using the shade to make a mini-dress and cape combo black tie appropriate. However, it’s the matte shades of black you can pass over if you want to focus on trends:  leather was used in droves this fall , so look to  J. Mendel  and Rebecca Minkoff  when hoping to keep the black modern. David Dixon 3. Keep: Purple Fall 2013 is particularly exciting in terms of fearless colour, an

Autumn trend alert: make the cardigan your best friend

I'm excited about several Autumn/Winter trends for this year but today I want to talk about  the maxi cardigan . It's hard to decide on the correct term because when you do a Google search, this awesome item goes by several names! Do I want a longline cardigan, a duster jacket, a kimono or a maxi something!? Wah.  I suspect we'll see more of these beauties popping up over the next few months (the ones that do turn up keep selling out) but for now, here are my favourites: H&M H&M ZARA DKNY ASOS

AW13 fashion preview: Punks to pinks

Image
I've already noticed that pink is the colour trend in general for winter 2013, but there’s one area in which all of that pink is really going to dominate: outerwear. For some, the pink coats will come as a welcome relief from all of the grey, black and navy that retailers usually try bombard us with as the weather gets colder. Why do fashion designers think that when the weather’s gloomy, we’re going to want our clothes to be gloomy, too? We will never know. What we DO know, however, is that they’ve recently had a change of heart: last winter saw an infusion of pastel coloured coats into the outerwear market, and this season the trend continues, but with just the one shade – baby pink. The good news here is that baby/powder pink is much more wearable than it’s sister shades, ‘Pepto Pink’ and ‘Barbie Pink’, and while those colours will be represented this winter too, many of the coats on offer are pale enough to force us to screw up our eyes, squint at the screen and wonder,

Black, white and neon

What’s trending this summer!!!!   NEON !!! BRIGHTER AND MORE COLOURFUL   than before! Wearing neon can be very tricky But don’t you worry this article will tell you how to nail the look just right ! CHOOSE YOUR OCCASION Before going out check out the dress code and ask yourself if neon is suitable for the occasion. You would not want to attract unnecessary attention towards yourself. Neon is perfect when you are going to the beach. You can also wear neon to college, when hanging out with your friends and parties. Strictly avoid wearing neon to office, interviews and other formal occasion. YOUR NEON COLOUR Pick colours that suit you and your skin tone. Look for colors that bring out your features. If you don’t know which colour suits you best start with neon accessories , belts , clutches and nail polishes. It will give you a hint what suits you.
