Minty Fresh
Spring 2012 is going to be minty fresh with the various shades of mint that have been appearing everywhere. Mint appeared in several collections for Spring 2012 from DVF to Jill Stuart to Ermanno Scervino. It is safe to say that mint is one of the “IT” colors for spring. I find the the subdued yet vibrant shades of mint to be quite refreshing.
Mint is a shade from the pastel color family. Many people are afraid of mixing pastels for fear of looking like an Easter egg. Pastels can be quite chic when the correct shades are paired together. Mint can be quite flattering when paired with shades of coral, sky blue, lavender and countless other pastels colors. In the look upwards I paired a mint skinny jeans with a white blouse, a peach color blazer, mint necklace, chocolate brown clutch and white with gold toned shoes.
