A laid back look - Tracksuit /Jogging suit -

The years we have seen tracksuits showing up on celebrities like Eva Longoria Parker and in high-end fashion stores, but are they still considered to be ‘in’? While they do not seem to be as popular as they once were, they are still considered a fashion staple by many women. Who could resist these suits as they are super comfortable and so easy to wear? If you are going to wear this look, there are certain things you should and should not do while wearing them.

1. Keep the Look Simple

Most of us know that this look is supposed to be casual, but some people have tried to dress up this style by wearing tracksuits with heels and lots of fancy jewelry. The problem here is, tracksuits are considered sweats and you should not over dress them. Stick with flats or comfortable boots, such as Uggs or knit boots, and keep the accessories minimal. Remember to keep in mind that this is purely a laid back look.

2. When To Wear Tracksuits

Sure, we have seen many women sport velour tracksuits anywhere and everywhere from places like the super market to fancy restaurants. However, tracksuits should only be worn in very casual settings because of their “relaxed” nature. If you are doing errands around town, lounging around your house or working out, you can wear tracksuits with no problem.

3. When NOT To Wear Tracksuits

Do not attempt to wear these while you are going on a date and especially NOT to dinner! Nothing is worse than seeing a woman sitting at a nice restaurant with a tracksuit and a pair of Uggs. It doesn’t matter if the tracksuit is Juicy Couture; it is still considered to be sweats and should not be worn while you are out eating in a nicer restaurant.

If you stick with wearing these tracksuits at appropriate times, then you should be able to get away with wearing them and still looking stylish. Just remember that these are not dressy and should not be worn in such settings. Keep your look laid back and cool, and you should have no problem!
