Spring 2012 color trends - Cockatoo -

This week my color sets are inspired by the color Cockatoo - a blend of seafoam and mint green hues.

One of the ten Spring 2012 colors (as declared by Pantone). It's light, carefree, and whimsical.
The color is Pantone 14-5420 Cockatoo which to me, closely resembles Tiffany Blue.
Here is a set I put together. Enjoy!

What I'm wearing:
From Temptation Boutique: Fedora Hat, Jeans: Kan Kan, Satin Oxford blouse and black body top, Jacket: Tanolli, Boots: Hunter, Jewelry: Swarovski.

Love the studs on my Kan Kan jeans

Isn't it cool? just love this golden studs on my jacket

I am so in love with this color and would love to see it paired with a blush or hot pink.  However, this color can surly stand alone as well! Below are some of our favorite examples of how you can apply this color to your wardrobe!

Here are a few of my cockatoo picks...

The Bohemian goddess look is one so often embraced by fashionistas. Pair distressed jeans with a cockatoo colored top and an abundance of jewelry. Gorgeous turquoise colored jewelry contrasts nicely against browns, oranges, and coppers that is boho style.  Finish off with some bronzer and a fringe cross-body bag to make the blue hues pop.

Another great place to show off colorful cockatoo is at one of the most popular spot for summer, the beach! Choose a cockatoo bikini this spring and for a fashion forward look every time you go to cool off in your pool or at the beach. Shorts, colorful crop tops, sunglasses, and flip-flops are all great essentials for this Cali look!

For a sophisticated look, go for the chic style. This look only uses pops of cockatoo with muted earth tones. A more structured attire making this outfit suitable for work or play.

The last look is based on a Hollywood starlet’s night out. A sexy, slinky dress and hints of gold leave the spotlight on you all night long. A pink melon lip sits perfectly against the gold and blue hues. Paired with jeweled cockatoo sandals to tie it all together.
