Feeling Blue

Hello dear readers,

Continuing our trend report on this Fall/Winter we have Cobalt Blue! A beautiful gorgeous rich color that will fill our eyes with glamour this season. It will be the equivalent of our tangerine tango for last spring/summer, remember? I think this blue is amazing! The Impressionists were amongst the first ones to incorporate and create this shade of blue. You might say that this blue is too bright for this season but the thing is that they kept appearing in every collection, whether it’s just a pop of color in a coat, pair of shoes or bag. It certainly can brighten up any look. My suggestion: invest on a blue cobalt coat, blazer, pencil skirt or bag!!!

A lot of designers included this electric blue hue in their collections: Paco Rabanne, Issa, LANVIN and DKNY presented different styles of dresses in this shade; others used is as a little splash of color in several accents such as Antoni & Alison and Fendi.

Some other risk takers, stepped it out the notch with fabulous outerwear pieces in this intense tone like Stella McCartney, Kenzo and Moschino; from tailored vests and blazers to oversized wool coats. And if you’re an edgy kind of gal, you’ll no doubt die for those vivid cobalt blue fur coats from Jean Paul Gaultier’s and Alberta Ferreti’s collections.
