Stripes trend

Spring 2012 will show its colors in the form of stripes. Stripes of all thicknesses, materials, and shapes.
Though linear lines paired with bold colors were the backbone of stripes for Spring, it seems slightly more refined colors are going to be mega also. In a singular top or dress designed for the next months, an competitive game of Twister takes place and the players are heather grey, ruby red, sharp ivory, and coal black. These colors are layered upon each other in an intimate unbalanced nature and turn an otherwise ordinary piece… extraordinary.

The conception that horizontal stripes make the wearer appear larger is only the case when worn incorrectly. With stripes it is a great idea to layer with complimentary colors, and make a point to highlight the assets and diminish draw attention away from problem areas. To do this, accessorize your look with a vest that is a bold color found in the menage of stripes. Another method is to grab a scarf in a complimentary color to the stripes and tie it around a handle of a over the shoulder hobo handbag. This small addition draws the eye and changes the silhouette by breaking the horizontal line of focus.

All of this advice for camouflaging horizontal stripes will come in handy because vertical stripes aren’t as much of a trend. It’s horizontal or nothing at all.
