Going Baroque 2012

Ready for some fall drama?
When you hear the word “baroque” what comes to mind? Europe, dramatic, gold, the 17th century? Well, this fall you will be hearing and seeing lots of baroque. Designers channeled the 17th century style in order to design their fall collections. Ornate details, elaborate ornamentation and drama, lots and lots of drama.
These are six of my favorite looks from the fall runway collections. The dramatic often heavy style of the baroque period has been captured in these designs. Each of these looks offer pieces that can be incorporated into your wardrobe. For example, take the Ralph Lauren jacket or the Dolce & Gabbana skirt both are easily transitioned from runway to personal outfit. You don’t have to wear baroque head to toe to be trendy, simply try a single piece at a time and pair it with a solid blouse or skirt.

Personally, I really like this trend but I would love to hear what you think. Are you going baroque this fall?
Stay Stylish,
D
