Red, white and denim

Image
An easy style to pull off, “Americana” consists of a simple colour palette: red, white, and blue. So if you bought into the nautical trend last season, you will already have some items you can recycle for this season’s Americana style.   What I'm wearing: Blouse: H&M Divided Dress: H&M Denim Jacket: Levi's Shawl: C&A  Boots: Xtrastar Hairband: SIX Jewelry: Swarovski A great way to tap into the Americana look is to wear denim – and lots of it. As you should already be aware, double denim is a huge look at the moment, so it’s easy to get a good grasp of. You’ll find everything from denim jumpsuits to denim shirts on the High Street, so take your pick and get creative. Americana is an easy and fun style to experiment with this summer, so take inspiration from the catwalks and American designers, and let your creativity run wild. Love my new Swarovski earrings... love Hello Kitty <3

Winter 2013 Fashion Trends: Pastel Hues

Image
Pastel hues starting creeping back into fashion when designers in Paris showed sweet, light colors on the runway for spring/summer 2012. The pastel trend turned out to be the perfect "yin" to the bright color trends' "yang" and has continued to enjoy popularity into the fall/winter 2012/2013 season.  What I'm wearing: Beanie: Xtrastar Blouse: H&M Jacket: H&M trend Jeans: Lara mode Shoes: MONKI Bag: ZARA Scarf: H&M Necklace: Sfera Ring: SIX Pastel colors have traditionally been a welcome color palette for the winter season after the autumn hues from the fall season begin to look too familiar. Creating a Casual, Chic Look!

Image
Gotta love basics!!! What I'm wearing: Coat: Zara Sweater: Esprit Blazer: H&M Jeans: Lara mode Beanie: Esprit Scarf: H&M Leather Gloves: Coolcat Bag: Zara Boots: UGG Casual chic is a look that transcends age and economic status. With a few good pieces and a little planning, anyone can achieve this timeless look. Here’s what you need: Jeans:  Jeans are the staple to any casual chic wardrobe. The trick here is the fit. As humbling as trying on jeans can sometimes be, make sure that you only buy pairs that flatter your figure type and are neither too tight nor too loose. Comfort counts too. You’re not going to want to wear jeans that pinch or bind. Don’t limit yourself to shades of blue; black and grey work well too. T-Shirts:  Cotton tunics and tees are the other piece to the casual chic puzzle. Avoid looking like a tourist or teenager by choosing items with unique shapes or colors, such as boat-neck shirts or tunic-length ...
